  3. terms of the number of ions produced in one
  4. cubic centimetre of air by the radiation.

  6. absorbed dose of about 870 rads (8.7 grays),
  7. which is a dose equivalent of 870 rems (8.7
  8. sieverts). The annual dose equivalent from
  9. natural sources in the UK is 1,100
  10. microsieverts.
